Trang An Complex
Trang An Complex is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Ninh Binh province today. Trang AnComplex has been recognized by Unesco as a natural and cultural heritage of the world. The scenery here is made up of rivers flowing lime stone mountains, forming mysterious caves.
Visiting Trang An, tourists will have chances of seeing beautiful mountains, yellow fields of rice, and very fresh water rivers. Especially, tourists can explore beautiful caves with special names of meanings, such as Morning Cave, Dark Cave, Wine Cave…
Thung Nham Garden of birds
Thuy Nham Garden of birds is located in Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District. The Garden is full of cultural, spiritual, landscape and biodiversity characteristics. In addition to the exciting feeling of sitting on the boat, visitors also explore the wildlife of more than 50,000 birds.
Thung Nham Garden is most beautiful on sunset, when thousands of white storks hover in the wetland. Therefore, tourists can feel the wild beauty that is unique for this land.
Mua Cave or Dance Cave is considered “Great Wall” of Vietnam. To conquer the Mua Cave, you have to conquer 486 stairs, which makes you quite exhausted. When you arrive on top of the cave, you will feel full of beautiful characteristics of Ninh Binh province.
From the top of Mua Cave, tourists can see the road to Tam Coc and Bich Dong. In the season of rice, it will be fully covered with a yellow color. Standing here, tourists will see boats heading into Bich Dong. All of them would make a beautiful picture for tourists.
Cuc Phuong National Park
Cuc Phuong National Park is the first national park of nature preservationin Vietnam. With an area of more than 22,000 hectares, Cuc Phuong National Park is the one of the top 5 largest national parks. Cuc Phuong has long been famous for the diversity of species in the forest ecosystem, beautiful natural scenery, and cultural values.
Visiting Cuc Phuong National Park, tourists will discover the wild and mysterious forest with thousands of ancient trees. Moreover, tourists can explore thousands-of-years-old caves and majestic hot waterfalls. Bai Dinh Pagoda
Bai Dinh Pagoda is located in Gia Sinh commune, Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province. Covering a large area of 700ha, Bai Dinh Pagoda is the largest pagoda complex in Vietnam. Bai Dinh Pagoda is a series of Buddhist architectural structures, consisting of new, giant and imposing temples. Each year, the pagoda attracts a huge crowd of local devotees and tourists looking to pay their respects.
Hoa Lu Ancient Capital
The ancient capital of Hoa Lu has many architectural works of great historical significance. Along with traditional festivals that have been inherited until now, the ancient capital results in many curious visitors to come.
Hoa Lu was the first capital of Dai Co Viet, as well as the capital of the dynasties of King Dinh, Le and Ly. After moving the capital to Thang Long (Hanoi), Hoa Lu has become the ancient capital. Although the royal dynasties did not locate the capital in Ninh Binh any more, they still renovated and built more architectural works here.
The ancient capital of Hoa Lu became an architectural and historical complex of national importance. Hoa Lu is recognized by Unesco as one of the four core zones of Trang An Complex. With a history of more than 1000 years, this place is home to many historical monuments.
Tam Coc – Bich Dong
Tam Coc – Bich Dong, also known as “Ha Long Bay on land”, is a famous tourism complex of Ninh Binh. The complex includes a system of numerious lime stone mountains and historical relics. Tam Coc – Bich Dong is ranked as a special national monument and recognized by Unesco as aworld heritage.
Tam Coc means three caves, First Cave, Second Cave and Third Cave. All three caves are located closelyand formed by Ngo Dong River through the mountains.
The First Cave is the largest and most beautiful cave, which is 127m long and 20m high. There are millions of lime stone stalks down to form many beautiful shapes. The Second Cave is 60m far from the First Cave and the Third Cave is 50m long, near the First Cave. The Second and Third Cavesalso have beautiful stalactites down.
Bich Dong is two kilometers far from Tam Coc wharf, which means “green cave”. The name of Bich Dong was named by a famous ancient poet, Nguyen Nghiem in 1773. There is a branch of Ngo Dong River in front of the cave and a beautiful rice field on the other side.
In addition to famous sites above, Ninh Binh is famous for several food specialties. Ninh Binh mountain goat is extremely nutritious and delicious because they are feeding on the mountainside. Enjoying fried rice with goat’s sauce will make tourists never forget the great taste.
